Amanda Bossard, fresh out from Anchorage High School the year 1992, began studying marine biology. Bossard began her professional career in the field of seafood commercial worker in 1999. Bossard began working with the ship F/V Sunset a 65' halibut-schooner that was turned into a salmon tender in the name of Murat Aritan, who worked in commercial fishing since. Bossard has been married to Aritan and they have united to make their rights to the industry. Both of them are in favour of conserving resources as well as maximizing profit. Otolith was founded at the time of Philadelphia through Bella Bossard and is currently the mother of two children who are aged three and one Bossard. Bossard in 2007, mother to two kids Bella age 3 and Andre 1 and returning to Philadelphia from her home in Canada, launched Otolith as a direct-market wholesale seafood distributor. Bossard's daughter Isabella 12 years old and son Andre aged 10 return annually for a visit to Southeast Alaska to work in the position of deckhand in the wild salmon season.
